The
monastery of Saint Anna is in the northern side of the village, it was
built on the story which told us that Saffouriyh is the town of Joachim
and Hanna, the parents of the Virgin (Mary). Near the monastery there is
also an old church which was built during the Crusade. Today, the
monastery is used as an orphanage for Palestinian children.
